Tiffany
Participants create their own stained glass windows while learning how to make them.
The copper crimping technique, perfected around 1900 by Louis Tiffany, is used to create extremely fine stained glass. This progressive method does not require any
particular drawing skills.
• Discover the technique.
• Learn to use glass tools (glass cutters, various pliers, electric water grinder, torch).
• Choice and preliminary study of the design, selection of colours and textures
• Cutting glass pieces
• Polishing edges with a grinder, checking and adjusting
• Crimping with copper tape and assembling the pieces
• Soldering with tin
• Applying patina (your choice) and finishes, hanging, supports, etc.
Minimum level required: *All levels: each participant makes their own creations with a
degree of difficulty in line with the experience gained.
